Director / Producer

I was born in 1984 in Izmir, Turkey. I graduated high school in 2002.  I finished Sabanci University, Visual Arts / Visual Communication Design BA Program in 2006. Afterwards I completed Directing for Film and Drama, MA programme in Kadir Has University, Istanbul in 2010.

Between 2006 - 2011, as the founder and director of DIGIMIND Studios, I directed music videos, commercials and short films besides working on various interactive design projects. My two short films were recognized as finalists in major short film festivals in Turkey during this period.

After leaving Digimind to pursue my filmmaking ideals, I wrote two feature films which I m dedicated to shoot when the time is right.

In the meantime, I continued working as a freelance director for TV commercials, advertorials and music videos. My music videos for famous Turkish artists including Mercan Dede, Mor ve Ötesi, Feridun Düzağaç, Kurban reached over 30 million viewers in total on Youtube.

Recently I took part in the establishment process of Youtube Studio of Socrates magazine, a high quality monthly Sports Mag in Turkey. I produced and directed many programs (live and offline) in the first months of the broadcasts and I am currently still co-producer of the channel.

I directed one of the first 360 degree music videos in Turkey for Sony Music Türkiye  (Rubato - Yağmurlar) and gained +100K views on Youtube which was considered a big success for a 360 video. Besides, I developed two major 360-VR projects which are still in production.

As a director, I prefer writing my own scripts both for music videos or other visual works. Even though I can easily adapt to clean-cut visual styles, I tend to create soulful, a little bit dirty, more atmospheric and touching works with a little more human touch and error if I can find the creative space.

I'm father of a baby-girl and currently living in Izmir, Turkey but I spent a lot of time on the road to Istanbul :)

Thanks for visiting my porftolio. I hope you enjoyed what you saw.
